If my sister recent;y passed away and didn't have a Will, what is the best way for us to finalize her affairs?
Question Details: My sister recently passed away, wasn't married and didn't have any children. Her closest relatives are my brother, father amd I. She lived in a house that was left to her and me by our deceased mother. She had some credit card debts, a signature loan and car loan from a credit union, and some medical bills.
If your sister passed away without a Will or a trust in place then you will need to administer her estate in order to transfer title to her assets to those relatives entitled to such under your state's probate laws. To do such, I suggest that you consult with a Wills and trust attorney.
