How do I find out about my dead mother's estate and any possible inheritance if the executors will not give me any information?

Question Details:

My mom passed away and I want to know about her will and if I am entitled to anything. 2 brothers are executors but will not speak with me. Am I entitled to anything at all even if we were estranged, she never disinherited me?

Sorry for your loss. If your mother's will provides for you, then you are entitled to whatever your mother left you. As executors, your brothers are legally obligated to inform you of your inheritance. If you have problems getting any information from them, you may need to consult an estate attorney in your area. The attorney can advise you about your legal options. The attorney can also help you get a copy of your mother's will.
