If my lease is up on the 14th but I can't move until the 18th, what can my landlord legally do?
Question Details: I have asked for the extension for the few days however the landlord has not communicated, so I don't know what to expect.

If you stay past your lease term without an agreement otherwise, then you are considered a "holdover tenant" and you will have started a new month-to-month lease with a 30 day notice period.
If they don't agree, you need to leave otherwise you can be legally obligated to pay rent for a new lease period.
