Am I liable for monies my attorney was supposed to have paid but did not?

Question Details:

I received a letter from a subrogation company. I tried to contact my lawyer but no answer. I called the company. They told me that my lawyer never returned their call. I was told that I will be liable if my lawyer will not respond.

It sounds like (from what you wrote "was supposed to have paid but did not") that case is over and disbursements have been made. I would say that you should have kept an eye on what claims/liens/service providers were supposed to have been paid and asked for accounting. So, the anwer is yes, it is your liability.
