My hyusband served me with divorce papers last week. What forms do I complete-a financial affidavit? what do i do?

I am a lawyer practicing in the State of CT, who handles divorces as well as other family cases.  The answer to your question is to hire an attorney who practices family law.  Some divorces can be very tricky.  If you cannot afford one, contact Legal Aide or the Pro Bono Section of the Connecticut Bar Association to see if you qualify for free legal services.  As well the Clerk's Office and Court Service Center at each Court can help you fill out forms. 

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  I suggest that you hire a lawyer to maximize your rights in the divorce proceeding.  If your husband is going to have a lawyer, you definately need one to even the playing field.  However, if you cannot afford one, you should go to the clerk's office as they can help you fill out an answer to the complaint and financial affidavit.  You can also have your accountant help you with the affidavit.  Go to the clerk's office as they are very helpful.
