If you have fully recovered from your auto accident injuries and don't have any residual pain and will not need future treatment, given the relatively small medical bill ask for $5000, but don't expect that amount.  That would be a starting point in negotiations and approximately $3000 would be acceptable.

If you are having residual complaints of pain and will need future treatment, that should be documented in the medical report.  Under those circumstances, you would want to ask for considerably more to cover the estimated cost of future treatment and additional compensation for residual pain.  Without seeing the medical report, it is difficult to place a dollar value on the case.  Under these circumstances, ask for $10,000, but don't expect to receive that.  Given the small medical bill, $7500 might be acceptable.
