My employer no longer covers name brand drugs required for epilepsy. Generics don't work for me. Full cost is more than take home pay.

Question Details: My employer will no longer cover the 2 Drugs I require for my epilepsy. I have tried generics and they bring my seizures back therefore my Dr. won't prescribe them. The full cost of these meds is more than I bring home in a month. My Dr. has wrote a letter telling them I can't take generics and it hasn't't helped. I'm ineligible for assistance as my **** card is part of my health ins and I would have to Drop all of it to get any aid from **** companies or fed government.

Insurance Law Law Answers

Often drug companies have their own assistance programs to help people whose coverage does not extend to a particular medication.  Contact the manufacturer of the drug you need directly and see if you qualify for their assistance.
