Question: Bankruptcy - Kentucky

Asked on 6/29/2009
My chapter 13 has been dismissed, can I switch lawyers?
I was wondering if I could switch lawyers and then file for a chapter 7. If we convert our case through the lawyers we have now it is gonna cost us $1700. I hurt my back and am off work indefinetly. My wife is having our baby soon and can't return to work until she recovers. I have filed for disability (following my doctors advice) and I am just waiting to hear from them. We don't have the money to convert through our current lawyers. I was wanting to change to see if we can get it cheaper somewhere else.
