Question Details: I let some one use my car to go down the road. I told them I had no insurance. they then lied and drove 1 hour down the road. hen I found out I called her right away. I told her to turn around n bring my car back now. She said she was there already. I then found out there was another girl in the car. Then10 minutes later she called and said she was in an accident; it was the other drivers fault. I found out by the other person that it was her fault she went through a red light. The 1 girl went to the hospital and now released with damages to her head and face. How do I pay to get my car out?
When you carry no auto insurance, you are ultimately responsible for damages to your vehicle and damages your vehicle may cause if it is involved in an accident. If the person driving your vehicle was truly at fault for the accident, the other driver and any injuried parties can hold both your friend who you loaned your car to and you, as the owner of the vehicle, financially responsible for damage to any vehiclesi nvolved in the accident and personal injuries anyone ionvolved in the accident may have suffered. I do not know what state you are writing from, but I suspect you will also be facing a citation and fine for failure to carry auto insurance. In Arizona, this also results in the loss of your drivers license and auto registration for a period of time. You will need to check your own state laws with regard to this and with respect to the procedure to get your vehicle back to you.
