If my car was hit by a private snow plow company the other day while my car was parked in front of my apartment, what are my rights?

Question Details:

I was told by the plow company to get 3 quotes and once they approve the quote I can get it fixed. They they would pay for the bill. I was told that in my state I only need 1 quote and they are required to send me the check directly and get it fixed at my leisure. My car is 10 years old and I may choose not to fix it all the way.

Contact your insurance company.  They will have you come in for an estimate and write it up.  Your insurance company will send you the amount of the damage, then go after the plow company's insurance for payment. If you have a deductible, they will reimburse your deductible as soon as fault is determined.
