Question Details: My mother passed away 14 years ago when I was eight, and I have two brothers as well. One brother was five, and my youngest brother was two at the time of my mothers death. What happen was my mother at first was at one Hospital, she was then transferred to another Hospital to do further testing on 04/14/1995. At that time my mother condition was fair, which was documented by a doctor at the other Hospital. Doctors told my grandmother they pierced my mother heart but said she would be ok. 4 hours later she passed away. Is it to late for us to sue?

Wrongful Death - Accidental Death Law Answers

This is the right age for you to pursue what you think is legally right.  You could not certainly have done anything 14 years ago.  All of you then, were still minors. Before you do so, you need to establish a lot of things prior to your mother’s death.  What illness had she got before she died?  Why was she taken to the hospital?  What does the medical record say? What was the cause of death? The piercing of the heart is still unclear. Are you referring to angioplasty or heart surgery?
