Must non-spouse provide personal info to bankruptcy trustee?

Question Details:

My boyfriend and I live together with our 6 year old son. He is filing bankruptcy. Do I need to provide my information. I don't want to?

Generally, it is required to provide information concerning all income contributed to the household including children, parents, spouses and any other parties contributing to the household.  The degree of information depends upon the particular case and  court.

Information about any joint investments (such as if own  a house, car, or bankaccount together), joint obligations (such as if you're both on the lease or utility bills), or joint income (suppose  you have business together) needs to be provided because of the part that is your boyfriend's. However, because yoiu are not married, you do not need to provide information about any aspects of your finances that are completely separate from him.
