My boss dismissed me unexpectedly and he doesn't want to pay me for the last 2 weeks.

Question Details: I was working for some company for cash about 2 month. My boss dismissed me unexpectedly and he doesn't want to pay me for the last 2 weeks. Can I do something with it? Or not, because the job was for cash?

It's illegal for a company to refuse to pay you for your work, even if they let you go.  You can file a wage claim with the government, although since you were "off the books," it might make more sense to sue with a lawyer.

It's also illegal for a company to pay you "off the books" like this, with no income tax, social security, medicare or unemployment withholding from your pay -- or the corresponding employer contributions to the last three.  I'd strongly recommend talking to a lawyer about that as well.
