my aunt was named as beneficial on an policy but the funeral home trying to make her sign over the right to it

I would assume that the funeral home is asking that your aunt sign over the policy so that they can be paid. Unless she has some sort of a prior agreement with them, she is not under any obligation to do that. I wish you well
