If my 19 year old son wants to train high school students to learn how to pitch, does he need liability insurance if they get hurt while with him?

Some parents have contacted him and want his services but I am not confident that he is familiar enough with teaching them nor that they won't train incorrectly and get hurt and try to sue us. Does he need certain training, registration, etc.? It's a short term thing.
