My 17 yr old son,arrested for underage consumption, first offense, never in any trouble, good grades in school, active in Young Life, & good job.

Question Details: Hired att,appeared in mag court, decide diversion option.Son have assessment & must complete 10 wk counseling.Can't miss any meet,get into trouble,or drink.Have to pay for probation, but won't have to report to prob officer if stay on track.When completed will have to go back to court,reevaluate,have benefit of record expunged.Next day I review paperwork states son has to report to prob officer on a school day!Call att,he denied saying didn't have to report to prob, but would call, get scheduled after school hours.Att:No return call after 10 messages.What can I do?Don't want son to miss school

If you don't hear back from your attorney before your son's day to report to his PO (most particularly for the first meeting) I would make sure that my son got to there promptly.  If it means missing a day of school then so be it.  This is too important to fool around with.  Once you meet the PO face to face I'm certain that you can reach mutually agreeable time to meet in the  future.  In fact, you may not have to meet again after that at all.
