How to get a vehicle title after a bankruptcy discharge?

Question Details:

I filed bankruptcy and it was discharged 3 years ago. I have a motorcycle that I believe was linked to a credit account at the time of purchase. The account was included in the bankruptcy so I do not owe them anymore. However the account holder still holds the title to the motorcycle and the DMV states that there is still a lien against the vehicle. I contacted the account holder and they informed me that they would "release the title to me and call me back in a few days" and then I never heard anything more. I think that they were just playing games. What are my legal rights? Do they still technically own it?
