Does MT have its own family leave act in addition to the federal FMLA?

Question Details:

I was just wondering if there were any Montana specific legislative measures protecting a pregnant woman who may have to take intermittent time off during her pregnancy due to a medical issue, such as migraines, that due to the pregnancy cannot be alleviated by the use of medication. I am currently in this position and am not entirely comfortable using FMLA during the full term of my pregnancy as I may not have enough when I need to take it after delivery. I have heard rumors but have not been able to come across anything concrete.

Employment and Labor Law Answers

It does not appear that Montana has its own family leave law, so it looks like you would only the provisions of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act to rely on. You might try contacting the state's Department of Labor and Industry directly to get the most definitive answer.
