missouri estate law.

Question Details: my dad died last year. my grandmother paid the funeral bill, and is trying to keep his estate in lue of repayment. what legal obligations do i have to repay, that out of his estate?at the time she paid it ,it was out of the kindness of her heart. do we still owe her that money?

The estate is liable for the funeral bill.  But that doesn't mean that grandmother gets the whole estate, she only gets enough to reimburse what she can prove that she spent.

Whoever is the executor or administrator (personal representative) of the estate has a right to control all of the estate property, and deal with claims like grandmother's.  Having a lawyer on board would help with this.
