Misappropriation of Judiciary Property

Question Details: My brother was made power of attorney to my parents' will. Over the course of two or three years after our father passed away, my brother spent for his own pleasure over $600,000 of my parents' estate valued at $800,000. Part of that money was set aside for our mother's care, the rest was to be divided between the three surviving children. What can be done to receive our proper inheritance? Our mother has since passed away within the past year. This all happened in Texas.

Wills, Trusts, Probate Law Answers

I think you and your other sibling need to hire a lawyer to look into this, in the county in Texas where your parents lived.  One place to look for attorneys in other states is our website, http://attorneypages.com

This does sound a lot like a gross breach of your brother's fiduciary duty, if you can prove it.  And if you can prove it, you may be able to get a judgment against him.
