Can I get a cash settlement from worker's compensation if I have already received other benefits from it?

Question Details:

Loss much of my hearing at work. Being treated for hearing aids. Worker's comp says they will be done after this. I can hear the sounds much louder but I still have trouble making out the words; I still have a problem with my hearing loss. Hearing aids were $6000 and batteries only last 2 weeks for both aids. Am I still able to get a cash settlement for maintenance and batteries and for the loss of my hearing from work comp.

Hello,

Yes.  The three main Workers' Compensation benefits provide for treatment, limited paid time off and a settlement for any permanent partial disability that interferes with your ability to get and keep a job.  You can also get benefits for future care needs.

If you'd like more information, you can visit my website:  www,joycekramer.com and go to the Workers' Compensation tab.  Or you can call the office during business hours.
