What if a judgment lien is not renewed?

Question Details:

Lien put on property in 1997 or earlier (for a debt from 1983); only good for 10 years if not renewed. If not renewed, what can creditor do?

If the judgment is not renewed, then the creditor no longer has a judgment against you and cannot try to collect on the expired judgment.
