What to do if a contractor refuses to honor a warranty?

Question Details:

Leak in roof; installed 6 years ago. 30 year warranty on materials; 10 year warranty on labor.

Depends on the reason for the leak and the terms of the warranty.  The contractor's probably saying that the leak was caused by the snow and ice of last season and isn't covered. Your only recourse would be a lawsuit, regardless.  You can't really force someone to pay for something without a court order/execution.
