There are possible plea bargains that can lead to the case ultimately being dismissed completely, if the prosecutor can be talked into such an arrangemetn - called a deferred sentence.  Certainly full payment of restitution goes a long way to being able to get such a deal.

If there is such a deal, once the case is dismissed (at the end) then it is possible to file a petition to seal the records so the public no longer has access to them (for background checks etc.)

You should hire a lawyer.
