Divorce, Marriage, Alimony Law Question from Broward County, Florida
Asked on 9/28/2009. This question has received 110 views.
Lack of prosecutionMy attorney withheld my file and I lost terribly at a final hearing, she would not show up unless i dropped off a check. she has been my attorney for five years and i have paid her thousands. Is there anything i can do?
If you owed her money on your bill she does not have to release the file to you until your bill is paid in full. If she was still the attorney of record, she would be obligated to attend hearings until she withdrew from your case.
