The general rule is that juvenile records are not part of the public record; therefore, this incident should not show up on a background check.  A good way to do a preliminary check to see if it will show up will be to call the court in which you were convicted, do not identify yourself, and then ask if they can tell you anything about a record for an individual with your name.  If they refuse to give you information regarding that incident, and/or if they tell you that there "is no public record", then you can be reasonably assured that the information is not in the public realm.
