is there any way i can get out of my misdemeanor possession charge?
I was in a dorm room on college campus, and police came to this dorm room with report of smoking. They found a joint roach and I was the closest one to it, so i was charged with possession.

In your defense, submit to a drug test. If the results are negative, submit to the court that while you were in the room, you were not using drugs. If you have no prior convictions related to drugs and/or paraphanalia, you can establish that you may or may not have known about the joint. If eligible, check into a first offender's program as offered by either the court or the prosecutor's office.
