Question Details:

My mother passed away 18 months ago, is there a time frame when an estate has to be settled. There are two houses to sell and divide money between 4 siblings, 1 passed away a year ago, will her share go to husband or only child?

There is no time limit as long as you are proceeding in good faith and file a notice of continuation each year.  As far as the deceased sibling it depends upon the wills.  Please contact me if you would like my help.  johntatone.com
