Is there a law in Texas that requires an insurance company to pay the same coverage for an in-network physician as they would for an out-network one?

Question Details: My insurance company MetLife recently beganpaying on 50% on preventative dental exams and when queried they stated it was a Texas law and that law stipulated they could not cover more for in-network dental visits versus out-of-network dental viists. Since they only cover 50% on out-of-network visits, they reduced their coverage for in-network. They could not provide the details of the law and my docotor has never heard of it. Is there a law that stipulates this and if so where can I get a copy?

I practice in California, not Texas, but frankly, I've never heard of such a law.  Contact the insurance company again and if the person who tells you there is a law cannot cite it for you, ask for his or her superior and keep working your way up the chain of command until someone can cite the law for you.
