Is my phyciatrist allowed to realse my information to a CPS worker without my consent?

Under certain conditions, mental health professionals have mandatory reporting requirements and must report certain events including client information to CPS or corresponding authorities.  If a mental health professional has facts that support abuse, they must following the mandatory reporting requirement which includes the disclosure of enough client information for them to be identified and contacted.
