I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. If you are on a month to month lease, the landlord may evict you as either the landlord or a tenant may terminate a month to month lease. If you have a written lease, the landlord may not evict you unless there is a clause that applies. I suggest that you consult a lawyer with whatever papers you received from the landlord if and when you are served with papers.
