Is it legal for a 15-year-old girl to date a 21-year-old male?

Question Details:

There is a 15-year-old female who wishes to date a 21-year-old male. Both want to but are not sure how to go about it with legal terms. What are the laws about a 15-year-old girl dating a 21-year-old male? I would like to know if there is parent/guardian consent needed for this. Also, the relationship wouldn't being have any kind of sex involved as both participants know that is in fact illegal.

The girl's parents have the right to prevent this, or only allow what they consider "safe" dates, such as in groups or at their own home.  There isn't any special law on this, it's just one very ordinary part of a parent's right to control their child's life, until the son or daughter turns 18.

You're correct about a sexual relationship being illegal at this point.  The girl is also too young to drink alcoholic beverages, of course.  If the girl's parents are okay with this, even if they don't insist on "safe" dates, the man would be very wise to do that anyway, for his own protection.
