Is it illegal to incur large bills for a home, knowing you'll file bankruptcy within days?
Person installed pool 5/24 and filed bankruptcy 5/27. Can this be legal?

If the person incurred those costs knowing they would file for bankruptcy, they may have comitted fraud before the bankruptcy court.  If you are the creditor, this may mean that you can still collect your debt.
