Is a son responsible for a father's medical bills if the father has no insurance, Will or life insurance?

Barring some kind on contractual arrangement between father and son a son is not responsible in any way for his father's medical bills. If the father passed away, medical bills are owed to creditors who now become creditors to the father's estate.
