Is a store liable for an injury if they do did not post a sign to watch your step?

Question Details:

I fell in front of a store on my way into the store. I was carrying my baby. They do not have a sign up saying watch your step; I fell and hit the solid ground with my baby. My main concern was for her, if she hit her head, so I took her to the doctor first. Now my hand and arm are bothering me to the point that I can barley use it, and my knee is scraped up and is hurting. I want to know, do I have a case?

It's possible that you do have a case.  Make sure that you get whatever medical treatment you need, for two reasons:  most important, to take care of yourself properly, and second, your medical treatment records will be a key part of how you prove damages, if you can hold someone liable for this.

Liability will depend on proof of negligence, that the owner of the property where you fell did not use due care in the design or maintenance of the property or failed to put up necessary warning signs.  The owner of the property right in front of the store might not be the store;  your attorney will be able to figure out who should be sued.
