Is the violation of an ordinance consdiered to be a crimanal offense?
Question Details: I was arrested and convicted for having open alcohol on a beach and underage possession of alcohol (nothing to do with actually consuming). I appeared in court and it was dropped down to a burrough ordinance and paid. When filling out paper work it asks "have you ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor". Some only want to know about criminal offenses. Is this a criminal offense? Will this disappear over time?

It is not a criminal offense.
It will not disappear overtime.
It is an ordinance but you can expunge it if you want.
