In state of Ga, **** marriage not reconized, alimony paid to ex-spouse, had either union or marriage in legal sate, can alimony be modified?
Question Details: Steat of Ga. does not reconize **** marriages, my spouse's ex-wife has gone to another state that either reconizes **** or had a union ceremony. Can my spouse have his alimony modified? We live in another state. He is out of work due to illness, and pays not only alimony, but she recieves 50% of his military retirement, and recieves Social Security for Bi-Polar disorder.

Your question is a little confusing. Are you talking about gay marriage? It is not clear who it paying alimony and who is married to whom. You should speak with an attorney in the state where the current divorce/support order exists.
