If in my divorce papers it states athat ny debt inccured in our marriage I am clear of, will be my ex's responsibility?
Question Details: Do I need to repay the debt or does that still stand? My husband passed away 9 months after our divorce was final.

you still owe the creditor. the divorxce decree just said that your ex should pay it , not you. but that does not bind the creditor at all. pay it or file a bankruptcy.
