Criminal Defense Law Answers

The State of Michigan does not allow the full restoration of rights necessary for federal restrictions against the possession of firearms by felons to be lifted.  In other words, your state expungement or "restoration of rights", does not change federal law.  Insofar as federal lawis concerned, your state expungement, pardon, or other restoration of rights, is insufficient for purposes of possessing a firearm.
