What are my rights if I'm doing the work of a supervisor?
Question Details: I'm a contractor for a major computer company and my managers leave early and the staff turns to me and acknowledges me to customers as the supervisor. I don't get paid as a supervisor but the company manipulates its own schedulimg policy so the non-contracter managers leave early and I get stuck with their duties. I have proof this happens. Can I take action in legal terms?
There is no legal basis or you to take action for. You are an employee and are paid for the work that you are doing. If you want a raise or a promotion then you have a meeting with your supervisor and ask for such. Your issue deals with an internal matter with a company and not the violation of any law.
