Illegal Alien Stopped and Ticketed

Question Details: An acquaintance of mine who's in this country illegally was stopped in Illinois by the police for running a stop sign. He was given a ticket for driving without a license and for running the stop sign. He has never been in trouble before. Can you tell me what is likely to happen to him when he goes to court for this? Does he need a lawyer?

The charge of driving without a license is a class B misdemeanor which has a possible jail sentence of up to 180 days.  He certainly needs a lawyer for this matter.  Feel free to contact me for further information.  We do these kinds of matters regularly.
