I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. the answer all depends on the bar panel that is sitting reviewing the issue. The bar has a right to suspend the license, but are not required. I suggest that you have a lawyer deal with the charge and try to get it resolved without having to go to jail (if that is possible). If nothing happens with respect to the grievance committee, then great. If you are notified of action on your license, then you need to obtain a lawyer to represent you in the hearing.

Are you a lawyer?
