Bankruptcy Law Answers

It depends on what chapter of bankruptcy you file under and what kind of civil case is involved. Some kinds of civil cases cannot be discharged, such as cases involving child/spousal support, willful/malicious injuries to a person or property, or a personal injury claim caused by the defendant's DUI. But, for example, Chapter 13 bankruptcy may allow a discharge not allowed under Chapter 7.
