If my ticket has the wrong date for the crime comitted can i plead not guilty and get away with it.
Question Details: I was caught with a pipe that had been used to smoke marijuana, and was givin a ticket and told to apper in court before the 8th of october 2009. The ticket say that i committed the crime on the 25th of october 2009.Can i get threw a loop and not be charged wit a crime?

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. The incorrect date is not going to get you out of this. All it will do is take credibility away from the state's case. The state can still prosecute you for the crime based on the fact that you were in possession of the pipe. I suggest that you hire a lawyer to represent you.
