If my husband dies, would I be responsible for his medical bills?

My husband has a terminal condition, has medical insurance, but we are not sure it will pay all of it. I want to know if I will be responsible to pay those medical bills not covered by insurance after he passes. Also want to know if the house is in his name only, would it be better he leave it to me or to another family member?

Your husband's estate is responsible for his debts. Creditors can elect against the estate and the personal representative may be compelled to sell whatever assets to pay the creditors. That is his/her duty. So it may not matter to whom he leaves the house in the will.
