If I never returned a cable box which was rented from the cable company, am I liable for the value of the box even after I file bankruptcy?

The cable box is still the property of the creditor and it is your responsibility to return to the owner.  Was the cable company even put on notice of the bankruptcy?  Simple advice:  return the box ASAP
