If I hit an unoccupied car last evening and did not leave a note, should I contact the police this morning?

If so will I be charged with a hit and run. If not what will the process most likely entail?

You should have left a note to the other driver with your insurance info. Whether the other driver wants to report as hit and run is entirely up to him. It is out of your hands now. All you can do is to make it right the second time.
