I am a licensed KS attorney. There are various requirements for what is known as adverse possession. Merely maintaining the property is not enough. However, depending on what else has transpired, it is possible you have a claim. I would need more information. Feel free to email me at sean@roadlawyer.net.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. just because you maintain the property does not mean that you become the owner. You are not the owner without a transfer of the deed.
