If a 15 year old has a baby and is order to pay child support, is he responsible to pay it or is his parent?
Question Details: Some people I know believe since their child is a minor they have to pay their child support, I thought even though their child is a minor since they are the one that is order to pay child support they are responsible for it and not their parents.

In general, grandparents don't have a duty to pay child support for their grandchildren. This is true even if the parent of the grandchild is under the age of 18. However, if a grandparent voluntarily assumes the role of a parent, the grandparent may be obligated to provide the grandchild with support.
