If I would like to post articles from other websites on my page can I do this without being sued for copyright infringement?

No, you can't do that; reproducing or republishing (and posting on a website is a form of publishing) another's content without their permission is copyright infringement. (I know it's commonly done, but then, the Internet is a sea of piracy, so to speak; the fact that it's common doesn't make it legal.)

What you can do is provide a synopsis or summary--even a detailed one--of the other article (so long as you actually write the summary yourself, and don't "cut and paste" from the article), together with a webaddress or hotlink to the original content.
